    Hi Diane,

Make sure you do the appeal process. The insurance company is in the business to make money not spend it! So even when it upsets you dealing with them take a deep cleansing breath and say to yourself its a game and I won! Don't give them the satisfaction of stealing from you. Think like you have it covered, they approved it. It may take a few tries but the best way to get insurance denials approved is to get in the appeal mode. At this point they are required by law to send your appeal to an outside source that will generally side with the patient as they are doctors that generally understand health and wellness. So don't give up! Also a little hint. When they say things like we don't have enough info for your appeal send them every stinkin medical report from your physicians all your MR related to CRPS timeframe along with your docs letter. I hope your doc has already written these for you. I have had all my docs write letters. So bombard them. You might be assigned a person that will collect all your info before they send it to a third party. The only thing make sure your ssn is not on the paperwork anything that could be used in identity theft. Good luck and if you need a chairleader let me know rarara go Diane : )

I just found this community and found it interesting to read the comments and discussion board. In re the topic of antidepressants...I tried Cymbalta about 2 years ago and had horrible nightmares and not any pain relief. I now am on 300mg of Effexor XR and love it! I now have the problem with my drug insurance company not covering Effexor due to they call it a "Step Therapy" drug. Basically which means it's a drug only used when nothing else has worked. Well, dah! Now I have to fight with my doctor and the insurance company to get my medicine covered. I am so upset right now. I don't have $220 for a one month supply like the drug store wants and I am soooo scared of not taking it. It really really helps me a lot!
